Emlagh Beach Cottage, where memories are made.
Enjoy all the comforts of home but with breath-taking panoramic views from the sitting room. Upon entering the stone cottage, a large welcoming open plan living area, kitchen & dining greets you on arrival. There is electric thermostat controlled heating for those wild Atlantic days and the cottage is well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, fridge freezer and dining table.
The living room is a light-filled area with a cosy sofa and TV. The master bedroom located on the ground floor has a queen sized bed which is next door to the large family bathroom with shower. The second bedroom upstairs contains two single beds while the third bedroom contains a queen sized bed with an optional two single beds to sleep a max of 8 guests.
A seating area at the front of the house is the perfect place to relax and soak up the sounds of the ocean, or alternatively the sheltered suntrap and garden at the southern end of the cottage can provide sheltered warmth. There is plenty of parking space around the house.
Emlagh Beach
The beach is a tranquil paradise in a very quiet area along the Wild Atlantic Way. You can take a lovely walk along the sandy shores or along the small sea cliffs towards Selerna beach and Cleggan village.






The location:
Emlagh Beach Cottage is one of a handful of houses in the Rossadillisk area and located very close to Cleggan Pier from where the local ferries depart for Inishbofin. Emlagh beach, located to the front of the house is generally very quiet and with a 1.5km walk south around the beautiful headland you can arrive at Selerna beach.
Emlagh beach is one of the Discovery Points on the Wild Atlantic Way via Omey Island heading North towards Westport from Galway. For walkers there are trails of all grades in the local area in particular the Connemara National Park where there is the Diamond mountain, as well as exploring the coastal paths from the house. Other local amenities include horse riding, deep sea fishing and numerous lakes and rivers throughout Connemara.
There are numerous golf courses in the county with the Connemara Championship Golf Links in Ballyconneelly and others in Westport, Castlebar, Mulranny and Ballinrobe as well as a par 3 course at Westport House. There are Adventure Centres at Killary and Delphi Mountain Resort. Cleggan has a well stocked supermarket, a pharmacy, post office, chipper and a selection of café’s pubs and restaurants. There is a local information office for trips to Inishbofin and other local activities.
